Our Schools

The Island Innovation Trust is the single foundation body for Carisbrooke College and Medina College and joint VI Form Campus which opened on 1 September 2011.

These new colleges were created as part of the IW Council's reorganisation of schools on the Isle of Wight, and a statement from the Trustees is shown below:

"The Trustees are delighted that the IW Council have chosen to award the two new Carisbrooke and Medina secondary schools to the Medina Innovation Trust and we look forward to working with other schools, education providers and the Council to create outstanding schools and opportunities for our young people.  To truly reflect the fact that the award is for two new schools who between them serve families and communities across most of the Isle of Wight, and that the Trust is committed to working with the other successful providers for the benefit of all young people on the Island, the Trust renamed itself the Island Innovation Trust in November 2009."
